Bruno Tonioli will miss tonight’s Strictly Come Dancing but why and where is he?!
It’ll be the only the third episode that Bruno has ever missed, having been on the panel now for 15 years.
The reason why Bruno isn’t on Strictly tonight is apparently because of an undisclosed prior work commitment.
The BBC said: “This weekend the Strictly Family welcome an exciting special guest judge, who is standing in for Bruno Tonioli for one week only. Bruno returns for next weekend’s Halloween Spectacular.”
Bruno will be replaced by guest judge, US actor Alfonso Ribeiro, who also stood in for Bruno last year.
The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air star previously won the US version of Strictly, Dancing With The Stars, in 2014.
He will join Shirley Ballas, Motsi Mabuse, and Craig Revel Horwood on the panel for both Saturday’s live show and Sunday’s results.
Alfonso said previously of joining the show: “I’m going to speak from the heart. I’m not going to try to rhyme.”
He joked: “There’s not going to be a lot of arms flailing… Look, [Bruno] is Italian. I get it. He speaks with his hands! I’m a brother from America so I’m gonna be kinda chill.”
Alfonso went on to say he would be a “happy judge” and wanted to “lift” the celebs up having been in their position before.
Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman return to the Strictly Come Dancing ballroom to host the show tonight as the battle to lift the Glitterball Trophy continues.
The 12 remaining couples will each take to the floor in a bid to impress the judging panel as the competition reaches its fifth week.
Those left on the Strictly 2019 line up include BBC Sports presenter Mike Bushell, Corrie actress Catherine Tyldesley, Viscountess Emma Weymouth, RuPaul Drag Race judge Michelle Visage, Paralympic champion Will Bayley, and footballer and presenter Alex Scott.
Joining them are England international goalkeeper David James, CBBC presenter Karim Zeroual, comedian Chris Ramsey and EastEnders’ actress Emma Barton.
Completing the current cast are social media star Saffron Barker and Emmerdale actor Kelvin Fletcher.
The two couples with the lowest combined judges’ scores and viewer votes will face the dreaded dance-off on Sunday’s Results show.
As well as the latest elimination, there will also be a sensational group number from the professional dancers and a musical performance from rising RnB superstar Mabel, who will be singing her huge hit, Don’t Call Me Up.
Strictly Come Dancing airs tonight at 6:40PM and Sunday, October 20 at 7:15PM.
