The Voice UK 2018 winner’s single has been released following tonight’s final.

After last weekend’s live semi-final, four contestants remained on The Voice 2018 this evening.

In The Voice UK final for Team Tom is 18-year-old student Ruti Olajugbagbe from Essex. On Team Jennifer is Belle Voci, a duo made up of friends 26-year-old Sophie from Norwich and 25-year-old Emily from Mayfair.

Team Will’s finalist is 16-year-old student Donel Mangena from Southampton. Lastly, on Team Olly is 27-year-old student Lauren Bannon from Weymouth.

It was Ruti who won The Voice UK live tonight and has released her winner’s song on iTunes here. The single is a cover of The Cranberries’ track Dreams.

In the final this weekend, the coaches took to the stage for duets with their four finalists: Jennifer Hudson will perform with Belle Voci, Olly Murs with Lauren Bannon, will.i.am with Donel Mangena and Sir Tom Jones with Ruti Olajugbagbe.

The four finalists also performed a new solo song.

Two acts were then eliminated – Belle Voci and Lauren – leaving the top two – Donel and Ruti to sing again.

The final acts will perform their favourite song of the series, which will act as their potential winner’s single.

Ruti performed Dreams while Donel sang Major Lazer ft. Justin Bieber & MØ’s Cold Water

Whoever won had their winner’s song released straight after the show as part of their prize of a life-changing record deal with Polydor.

Meanwhile, the live final also saw a mega group performance from the four coaches.

Sir Tom Jones, will.i.am, Jennifer Hudson and Olly Murs opened The Voice UK’s grand finale with a show-stopping performance of The Beatles’ Come Together.

The Voice 2018 aired its live final on April 7 from 8:30PM on ITV.

The show has already been confirmed to return for another series in 2019.
