The Voice 2018 RECAP! All of the blind auditions from week two

The Voice UK 2018 auditions

The Voice UK 2018 hit our screens again tonight for the second round of blind auditions on ITV.

Global music legends will.i.am, Jennifer Hudson, Sir Tom Jones and newbie Olly Murs are this year’s coaches and on a quest to uncover the best vocal talent that Britain has to offer, with this year’s winner scooping a life changing record contract with Polydor Records.

As always, the first stage is the blind auditions where the contestants must hold their nerve as they sing to the backs of the coaches.

After week one, Team Olly and Team Jennifer had two acts apiece while Team Tom and Team Will each had one act, leaving plenty of spaces to fill up on all four teams.

If the coaches like what they hear, they hit their buzzer to spin around and select that artist for their teams of ten. If more than one spins then it’s up the act to pick which team to join.

However if all the coaches fail to turn for an act they lose their right to see them – leaving them forever wondering if they should have hit their buttons.

Here’s how the second round of blind auditions went down tonight…

Kade Smith

Kade is a 17-year-old Window Cleaner from Leicester. He performed Otis Redding’s Sitting On The Dock Of The Bay at his blind audition. All four coaches turned and Kade joined Team Will.

Belle Voci

Belle Voci are a duo made up of friends 26-year-old Sophie from Norwich and 25-year-old Emily from Mayfair. The pair performed Delibes’ Flower Duet. Jennifer Hudson turned for the pair.

Ivy Paige

37-year-old Burlesque and Cabaret performer Ivy from Kent had all eyes on her as she sang Peggy Lee’s Why Don’t You Do Right. Olly turned for the Jessica Rabbit look-a-like.

Jade Williams

32-year-old Jade from Brentford, London is a Part time Music Teacher and Musician. She performed Semisonic’s Secret Smile. Jade joined Sir Tom’s team after he was the only coach to turn.

Jacob Simpson

21-year-old Jacob Simpson from Brentford, London currently works as a barman, Youth Worker and Musician. He performed Kings Of Leon’s Over at his audition. Unfortunately, Jacob didn’t get any turns.

Jamie Grey

29-year-old musician Jamie Grey from Redcar returned to The Voice UK tonight after getting no turns last year. For his blind audition, the musician sang ANdra Day’s Rise Up. This time, Jamie got turns from both Olly and Tom and joined Team Olly.

Benn Helm

43-year-old Brian from Liverpool currently works as Part Time Marks and Spencer’s Sales Assistant, Barman and Musician. At his blind audition, he sang Lenny Kravitz: Always On The Run, but got no turns.

Lucy Milburn

Closing the second round of blind auditions was 20-year-old Lucy Milburn from Sheffield. She belted out Amber Riley’s Colorblind. Lucy got all four coaches to turn and joined Team Tom.
