The hit game show, hosted by Bradley Walsh, typically airs weekdays at 5PM on ITV.

However the series took a break from November 11, replaced by a new series of Bradley’s other new game show Cash Trapped.

But don’t worry as it won’t be long before The Chase is back on screen.

Chaser Anne Hegerty – aka The Governess – has revealed it will only be weeks before there are new episodes, with two Christmas specials coming soon.

“CT [Cash Trapped] is only on for five weeks, and this year we have TWO Christmas specials for you!!” she wrote on Twitter.

So you can expect to see The Chase back on ITV in December.

The Christmas specials will be followed by a new series featuring a brand new Chaser.

“It’s accessible, people love it, it’s ten years old now,” host Bradley told Good Morning Britain about the show, “What can you say? We’ve got a brand new chaser coming in for another new series now. It’s all good.”

A spokesperson for ITV confirmed: “A new Chaser will be revealed in due course.”

Now in its ninth year and and having reached over 1000 episodes, The Chase has seen global success, with versions now being made in 11 countries.

In the UK, The Chase is regularly watched by over 3 million viewers each day and previously won a National Television Award for ‘Best Daytime Show’.
