Emma Willis, Stacey Dooley, more to cover for Alex Jones on The One Show
A number of guest hosts have been announced to cover for Alex Jones on The One Show.
Alex waved goodbye to the series this week as she leaves on maternity leave.
The BBC has now revealed a number of guest presenters who will sit in for her over the summer.
Stacey Dooley, Emma Willis and Mel Giedroyc will all be joining the show over the next few months.
They will join regular guest hosts Angellica Bell, Angela Scanlon and Michelle Ackerley.
The One Show’s current guest hosts and schedule is as follows:
Angellica Bell – from Monday 29 April for three weeks.
Angela Scanlon – from Monday 20 May for two weeks and Monday 17 June for one week.
Emma Willis – from Monday 3 June for two weeks.
Mel Giedroyc – from Monday 24 June for one week.
Stacey Dooley – from Monday 29 July for one week.
Michelle Ackerley – from Monday 5 August for two weeks.
Further presenters will be announced in due course.
Meanwhile, Matt Baker will continue to be covered by guest hosts on Fridays with the likes of Shane Richie, Joe Lycett, Rylan, Patrick Kielty, Amol Rajan and Ore Oduba.
Alex Jones said: “I know The One Show will be in very capable hands while I’m on maternity leave and good luck to all the guest presenters – I hope they have as much fun as I do on the show.
“I’ll be back on the sofa in the autumn, but in the meantime, I plan on watching from my own sofa with little Teddy and the newest addition!”
