The X Factor: Celebrity spoilers!
V5
A five piece group made up of social media ‘influencers’ Sofia Oliveira, Alondra Martinez, Laura Buitrago , Natalie Valerin and Wendii.
Sofia says: “Since I was very young I always loved to sing! My mother used to put a headphone on her belly when she was pregnant. I was born loving music and said I wanted to be a singer when I was five years old.
Wendii adds: “I always had a passion for music ever since I was a little girl, but I started taking it more seriously at the age of 11 when I did my rst stage performance at a show called “La Voz Kids” from there on out I knew for sure I wanted to be an artist.”

OLIVIA OLSON
Olivia is an actress and the child star of Love Actually
She says: “Recently, I’ve felt a little stuck in my career. I’ve done a lot that’s really honourable, that I’m proud of. But, it’s almost as if the recognition goes to the characters that I play and not a lot of people know me as a singer. Everyone remembers me as either the little girl from Love Actually, or one of the animated characters that I play for Disney or Cartoon Network.
“Let’s say you go on YouTube and you type in ‘Olivia Olson singing’. I might have ten thousand hits on my song. Then you type in ‘Marceline the Vampire Queen singing’ and it has three million. It’s really cool, that’s my voice, it has all those hits and so many people love it. But, I feel like I deserve a little bit of that love too.
“I don’t see any other opportunity like X Factor, where I could go and just put the face to the name and be like, “here I am, this is me” and really have a platform to sing and show that.”
JONNY LABEY
Jonny is an actor best known for his role in EastEnders as Paul Coker
He says: “I’ve spent the last couple of years really trying to create content and create things, starting online channels. I’m from a musical, theatre background, so obviously dancing, acting and singing has always been in balance. I trained primarily as a dancer, but my first major job was acting in EastEnders, so I had that huge exposure.
“Then I did a show called Dance, Dance, Dance, that literally feels like a lifetime ago now. In order to pursue a career in singing, you have to really think about who you are as an artist. I hadn’t really gotten to that stage yet. I come from a very musical family, my dad’s a singer.”

MEGAN MCKENNA
Megan is a reality TV personality who has appeared on TOWIE and Big Brother.
She says: “Do you know what? When I found out about the X Factor was doing a celebrity version, I was a bit like, ‘Wow! Could this be my time?’
“Wow, it’s a big deal because I just think Simon could say one thing and it can make people change their mind about you, you know? I think a lot of people listen to Simon’s opinions, but I really respect Simon. I always have. I would love to work with him. I just hope he likes my music.”
VICTORIA EKANOYE
Victoria is a Coronation Street star who played Angie Appleton
She says: “Music was always my first love. It was my dream as a kid! I’ve been singing forever, since maybe four, five years old. I was lucky enough to be a part of the Lion King in the West End; which was incredible and really life changing.
“After Lion King I did a tour with a Blues Brother show around Europe and the US. That was actually my first time to America and we toured 22 states, so it completely blew my mind.”
RICKI LAKE
Ricki is an American actress and chat show host
On signing up, Ricki says: “I’ve had a 30 plus year career where I’ve gotten to do so many different things. I get to prove myself in different ways, reinvent myself and I’m all about that, especially now that I’m 50. Why not? My show was hugely popular, unbeknownst to me, it was really a big surprise that my old talk show caught on as well as it did in the UK.
“It’s great to be able to come back and see my audience that have grown up with me and to come back in a new light, I feel like I will be welcomed and I’m really excited to come back.”
