The Voice Kids: Amaree’s beautiful Stevie Wonder cover stuns coaches

A 14-year-old’s cover of a Stevie Wonder classic won over The Voice Kids coaches this weekend.

Will.i.am, Pixie Lott and Danny Jones are back in the spinning red chairs for series 3 this summer – together with new coach Jessie J.

Tonight (June 8) saw blind auditions begin for the brand new season.

One of the acts impressing this weekend was 14-year-old Amaree who comes from Cardiff.

He performed All in Love Is Fair from Stevie Wonder for his blind audition.

Amaree got both Jessie and Pixie to hit their buzzers.

“You’re my favourite singer we’ve seen,” Pixie said.

“I wish I turned,” admitted Will, with Danny also confessing his regret at not turning.

With his pick of the ladies, Amaree chose to join Team Jessie.

Once more hosted by Emma Willis, The Voice Kids is open to talented young soloists and now duos between the ages of seven and 14.

Up for grabs for the winner is a £30,000 bursary towards their musical education plus a dream family holiday to Orlando.

The public will ultimately crown the winner of The Voice Kids in a live final later this year.

The Voice Kids Series 3 continues airing Saturday nights on ITV.

You can stream full episodes of the series online via the ITV Hub.

All the contestants who go through at the blind auditions will go on to compete in the battle rounds later in the series.
