A 14-year-old impressed The Voice Kids coaches with a Harry Styles cover this weekend.
Will.i.am, Pixie Lott and Danny Jones are back in the spinning red chairs for series 3 this summer – together with new coach Jessie J.
This evening (June 15) saw blind auditions continue with round two of the 2019 series.
One of the contestants singing for the judges was 14-year-old Adi from the Wirral who performed Sweet Creature by Harry Styles for his blind audition.
Watch Adi’s performance as he auditions for The Voice Kids UK 2019 below…
Adi comes from a singing family, performing Indian classical music with his dad.
Before performing, he admitted to being rather nervous to sing for the coaches.
But he needn’t have been, as his audition got almost instant simultaneous spins from both Pixie and Danny, with Jessie also turning around towards the end of the performance.
“I waited to the end because I want to challenge you,” said Jessie.
“Your tone, your voice, you have something special,” praised Danny.
After the coaches made their pitches, it was over to Adi to pick which team to join.
And he went on to decide to join Team Jessie in the next round.
Once more hosted by Emma Willis, The Voice Kids 2019 is open to both talented duos and soloists between the ages of seven and 14.
One young singer will walk away with a cash prize of £30,000 bursary towards their musical education – together with a dream family holiday to Orlando.
The public will ultimately decide the winner of The Voice Kids at the end of the series in a grand life final.
Until then, The Voice Kids blind auditions continue at 8PM on Saturday nights on ITV.
You can catch up on full episodes online via the ITV Hub.
Those who make it through the blind auditions will go on to compete in the battle rounds later in the series, followed by the semi-final stages.
