The Gemma Collins Podcast launches on BBC Sounds

BBC One has launched The Gemma Collins Podcast, available today (August 14) from BBC Sounds.

The BBC says that The Gemma Collins Podcast will offer “an intimate, no-holds barred look inside the life of The GC, with plenty of candid chat, laughs and insider gossip direct from the Essex diva herself.”

Gemma rose to fame on The Only Way Is Essex and has appeared in a number of reality TV shows including I’m A Celebrity, Celebrity Big Brother and Dancing On Ice.

She currently has her own reality series, Diva Forever, airing Wednesday nights on ITVBe.

Now she’s started her own podcast which will be released every Wednesday on BBC Sounds.

A teaser from the BBC says: “Listeners are invited to share in the drama and excitement of Gemma’s day-to-day, as guest appearances from those closest to her provide an honest insight into what her life is like behind closed doors.

“Gemma will also take on the role of agony aunt to those in need, as she answers listeners’ questions and tackles their life dilemmas each week. Every episode will end on a high as Gemma shares her very best nuggets of wisdom with the world.”

You can listen to the podcast online via BBC Sounds here.

In the first episode, The Gemma Collins Podcast delves into the many facets of Gemma’s life, from her interest in spirituality and nature to her most memorable fake tan mishaps. She opens up about what it’s really like to film reality TV, and reveals what she got up to during her recent trip to America once the cameras were off.

Gemma Collins said: “I am SO EXCITED to finally be able to share The Gemma Collins Podcast with the world! I have been absolutely loving working with Radio 1. If you’ve ever wanted to sit down for a chat with me, that’s what this podcast is going to be like – it’s going to be fun, it’s going to be funny and it’s going to be honest.

“Come and get in-depth with the meme queen and listen to my podcast on BBC Sounds.”
