The Circle winner prize and all you need to know

The Circle 2019 concludes live tonight on Channel 4 – here’s all you need to know.

The popularity game where anyone can be anyone returned for series 2 this autumn bigger and better.

In The Circle, contestants reside separately in their own apartments, with cameras watching their every move.

Never meeting one another in person, the sole way they can communicate with each other is through the titular Circle, a voice-activated social network.

Players can choose to be whomever they think will make them most popular with other players, regularly rating one another with the least popular contestants being eliminated.

The Circle 2019 final start time

After three weeks, The Circle 2019 concludes tonight (Friday, October 18) at 10PM on Channel 4. The final runs through to 23:40 as the winner is crowned.

You can watch the final live online via All4 where you can also catch up on past episodes together with the first series.

Five contestants have made it through to the grand final of the series…

Georgina Aurelia Elliott
21-year-old from Nottingham who works in the tailoring industry playing as Herself. Entered Episode 1.

James Doran
26-year-old Recruitment consultant from Liverpool playing as “Sammie”, a single mother. Entered Episode 1.

Tim Wilson
58-year-old University academic and animator from Rugby playing as Himself. Entered Episode 1.

Woody Cook
18-year-old pub worker from Brighton playing as Himself, but not revealing his famous parents DJ and record producer Norman Cook and broadcaster Zoe Ball. Entered Episode 1.

Paddy Smyth
31-year-old disabled social media activist from Dublin, Ireland playing as Himself. Entered episode 10.

 

The Circle 2019 prize

Up to £100,000 is up for grabs for the winner.

As yet it’s not been revealed how this will be won: In the first series a prize of £50,000 was awarded to the most popular player in The Circle by the other contestants, with an additional £25,000 prize given to the most popular player with viewers.

In 2018, contestant Alex Hobern won both The Circle and viewer vote, taking home £75,000 catfishing as ‘Kate’.
