The Bachelor UK: First look at the brand new series coming to Channel 5

Channel 5 has revealed a first look at the brand new series of The Bachelor UK.

The dating contest sees single women compete to win the affections of one hunky eligible bachelor. Each week, the Bachelor gives roses to the ladies he wants to stick around – while those who don’t get one are immediately eliminated.

It originally ran in the UK on BBC Three between 2003 and 2005, before moving to Channel 5 in 2011 and 2012.

Six years on and the show is back with a brand new series beginning on Monday, March 4 at 10PM on Channel 5.

Hosted by Mark Wright, the series will feature 31-year-old Alex Marks as The Bachelor.

And ahead of the launch, Channel 5 has unveiled a first look teaser.

“Get ready for roses, rows and raunchiness in the all new series of The Bachelor UK. ?Tune in on Monday at 10pm. #TheBachelorUK @thebachelorUK,” they wrote alongside the clip.

“I want a partner. I want somebody that I can confide in. I want to feel loved as much as I love. That’s really important to me,” says single hunk Alex.

The clip features a preview of the explosive scenes to come, ranging from a kiss in the pool to a fight between some of the girls.

“Take this mic off me I’m going home!” rages one of the ladies.

“Not sure I would wish this on a worst enemy,” remarks Alex as he watches on.

Host Mark Wright said: “I am absolutely buzzing to host my brand new show, The Bachelor UK. ”

The women on The Bachelor UK include 35-year-old Pilates Instructor Faran Cooper, 30-year-old Circus Performer Georgina Leahy, 28-year-old Surveyor Natasha Mazaheri, 26-year-old PA Abbey Carter and 32-year-old Account Manager Victoria Bailey.

They’re joined by 28-year-old Professional Bollywood Dancer Robyn Tollady, 36-year-old Full-time Model Charlotte Edwards, 23-year-old Freelance Makeup Artist Frankie Maddin, 28-year-old Brand Manager at Selfridges Tonique Campbell and 25-year-old Belly Dancer and Model Claudia Sowaha.

Completing the line up are 31-year-old Single Mum Lois Bowden, 25-year-old Yoga Teacher Chloë Adlerstein, 29-year-old Journalist Gabriella, 28-year-old Full-time Model Reanne Brown, 25-year-old Events Co-ordinator Alica Oates, 24-year-old Financial Analyst Lily Douse and 21-year-old Hairdresser Tara Walls.

The Bachelor UK begins Monday, March 4 at 10PM on Channel 5.
