The Apprentice 2018 results: Who left? Latest candidate fired after art dealer task

Who was fired from The Apprentice this week?

Another candidate has been fired in The Apprentice 2018 results tonight – but who left this week?

It was Jasmine Kundra who was fired from The Apprentice this week after a task which saw candidates becoming art dealers.

In tonight’s show, it was week eight and Lord Sugar instructed the candidates to pack an overnight bag and head north to Scotland.

They met at Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum in Glasgow, where Lord Sugar spoke to them via a TV link.

“I’ve been called away on some very urgent business,” he said, before revealing their latest task will involve the £47 billion global art market.

The remaining candidates were tasked with becoming art dealers; selecting a contemporary artist’s work to sell at their very own gallery event.

To top up takings, the teams had to also make merchandise adorned with their chosen artist’s work. The team that generated the most money from combined art commission and merchandise sales would win.

Left in the running, Jackie Fast, Khadija Kalifa, Sarah Ann Magson, Camilla Ainsworth and Daniel Elahi made up Team Collaborative, project managed by Jackie.

Jasmine Kundra, Sabrina Stocker, Tom Bunday and Sian Gabbidon were Team Typhoon, led by Jasmine.

On day one, one half of each team led by their respective project managers visited artists to decide whose work they wish to sell. Daniel got his strategy to schmooze down to a fine art but on the other team, an inability to gel led to a sticky exchange.

Meanwhile, the sub teams went to corporate clients arranged by Lord Sugar who were in the market to buy big. Team Collaborative failed to comprehend the clients’ brief but on Team Typhoon a real rapport with the potential purchaser looked likely to pay dividends.

On on the second day the teams hosted their gallery events as they tried to shift their artists’ work to both the corporate clients and the public.

At the end of the day it was back in the boardroom where the results were revealed.

Team Typhoon brought in £1,325.49 to Team Collaborative’s £3,499.76.

On the losing team, Typhoon’s project manage Jasmine brought back Sabrina and Tom into the boardroom where it was Jasmine who heard the dreaded words: “You’re Fired!”

The Apprentice 2018 continues Wednesday nights on BBC One.
