Take That are set to appear on Strictly Come Dancing this year.
Take That will be releasing a new greatest hits album ahead of a 2019 tour celebrating their 30th anniversary.
The group will reportedly perform during the Strictly results show, according to The Sun newspaper.
It’s despite former band member Robbie Williams joining rival TV series The X Factor as a judge.
A show source explained: “The Take That boys have been very torn between singing on Strictly or X Factor, especially with Rob now being a judge on X Factor.
“Given Strictly’s huge ratings they decided they were a better fit to the BBC show. Rob will be gutted.”
Strictly Come Dancing launches on BBC One in September with its pre-recorded launch.
Show bosses are currently revealing the official celebrity line up daily.
The latest confirmed name was Joe Sugg, a British YouTuber, filmmaker, author and vlogger. As of 2018 he has over 25 million followers and is an ‘international star’.
Joe said, “I’m honestly so chuffed to be involved in the show this year! Not going to lie, I’m very nervous about it, it’s totally out of my comfort zone and I know it will be a huge challenge but that’s what life is all about I guess.
“Funnily enough I’m writing this statement whilst on the way to surprise my grandparents with the news. They are going to be so happy which will definitely make up for any embarrassment or cringe caused by my questionable rhythm.”
He joins Steps singer Faye Tozer, actor Danny John-Jules and Katie Piper on this year’s confirmed cast.
The remaining celebrity contestants joining the new series will be announced in the coming days
The live shows and results will air on Saturday and Sunday nights throughout the autumn and winter.
