Survival Of The Fittest cast: Meet new guy Joel Bennett, who replaces Ryan Cleary

Joel Bennett is the new hunky guy who is joining the Survival Of The Fittest 2018 cast.

Joel joins the ITV2 series in tonight’s latest show, at the slightly later time of 10PM.

He is a 28-year-old model from Manchester, who replaces Ryan Cleary. Ryan was given the boot yesterday evening by the girls, following a public vote.

Joel says: “I might come across as cocky or vain but when you get to know me, I’m a really genuine guy. I’m cheeky, I push the boundaries but I will make you laugh and I’ve got a heart of gold.”

Going into The Lodge, Joel thinks the male team have the edge thanks to their physical advantage.

“Men are stronger,” he declares. “We are definitely stronger physically. I’m not sure that we are stronger mentally. I think girls can be a lot more switched on than some lads. From a physical point of view, I think the lads will have the edge.”

Joel added: “We should win because we are doing it for man’s honour. It goes back to the Alpha male thing – we are the leader, the strong ones and we need to do it for the men.”

But it sounds as though the girls could prove a distraction for Joel.

“I’ve been single for a while,” he admits. “I’ve been independent, I’ve enjoyed myself. I’m going into The Lodge with a very open mind. I’m happy to see what happens with anybody.

“I’d like to get to know all the girls, see if anything develops and if it does, I’ll roll with it. I’m not going in with any expectations, I’m open- minded and happy to see what happens.”

Survival Of The Fittest continues tonight at 10PM on ITV2.

This evening’s show will see Joel’s entrance, before the teams face their latest challenge.
