Strictly’s Craig Revel Horwood hits back at Alexandra Burke haters

Craig Revel Horwood has hit back at claims he showed favouritism to Alexandra Burke on Strictly Come Dancing.

In last night’s final, Craig was criticised on Twitter for handing out 10s to Alexandra but not being as generous to the other finalists.

By the end of the night, Alexandra was top of the scoreboard with 119 points out of a possible 120.

One viewer complained on Twitter: “How on earth can Craig not find fault with any of the dances yet give them all a 9 apart from Alexandra??? He is starting to appear very biased.”

Another added: “Judges found no faults with anyone yet only one 40 and they wonder why people say there is favouritism.”

However Craig hit back at one troll on Twitter: “Alex DID win in her own way! She was incredible as were all our finalists.

“It’s not the winning that’s important it’s the taking part and being counted! Get a grip NIGE!!!!”

Meanwhile, Debbie McGee also found herself under fire for performing a ballet routine as her showdance.

“Was that Debbie, the trained ballet dancer, doing pretty much a full ballet routine, in ballet shoes? Funny that,” one fan quipped online.

Another agreed: “Well that was a nice ballet routine from Debbie the trained ballet dancer.”

However, as always judges Shirley Ballas, Darcey Bussell, Bruno Tonioli and Craig Revel Horwood’s marks did NOT count in the final: Only public votes decided the winner.

And it was Joe McFadden who won Strictly Come Dancing 2017 in the results show, where viewers had all the power.

Elsewhere, the Strictly final saw a guest musical performance from Ed Sheeran and a big group performance from all the pros and celebrity dancers.

Strictly Come Dancing will return to BBC One in the new year.
