Vick Hope says she’s finding her latest Strictly Come Dancing routine “really tricky”.
Vick and pro partner Graziano Di Prima scored their joint best marks of the series in last Saturday night’s Movie themed episode.
At the weekend the pair danced a Salsa to Take A Chance On Me by ABBA from Mamma Mia, opening the show.
“It was nerve wrecking but the good thing is you don’t have time to overthink it,” Vick admitted this week, “If you’re on tenth you go over it in your head but if you’re first there’s no time for it.”
Speaking on Strictly spin-off show It Takes Two, the radio host went on to confess: “We had not done it right once, not once. Every time we’d done it something had gone wrong. I’d been dropped or fallen over. That was the first time it had all gone right and it was the best one.”
This week, Vick and Graziano will be dancing the Quickstep to ‘Can’t Hurry Love’ by Diana Ross and the Supremes.
So far, Vick admitted training had been difficult.
“It’s hard, it’s fast… it’s really, really tricky,” she said.
However, Vick added: “But I think when you have a song you love so much, it really pushes you. That’s my mum’s favourite song and it’s a song that really resonates, that song means a lot to me.”
