“We’re trying to bring back our favourite moments of the show and do something fun, quick, fast and a lot of tricks.”

Alexandra added: “He literally has me leaping across the dance floor the whole time, I prefer the upbeat dances so I’m really pleased.”

Debbie and Giovanni

Debbie McGee and Giovanni Pernice will Showdance to One Day I’ll Fly Away by Vaults.

“We are going to do something more elegant and classy, we are going to tell a story,” Giovanni said. “The song is really beautiful and there’s some lifts as we haven’t done a lot of those so far…

“Some more lifts, some more splits, why not? and the leg kick…basically it’s going to be more elegant and storytelling.”

Debbie promised a lot of ‘lifts and legs’ and added: “This dance is very elegant and very emotional, so as a last dance it’s a very nice swansong shall I say.”

Joe and Katya

Joe McFadden and Katya Jones Showdance to You Make My Dreams by Hall & Oates.

Katya teased: “We’ve been really good, from the comments we’ve got, with our storytelling and taking on characters so we’re focusing on that.”

Joe has said the routine will have a “Christmassy” feel to it.

“We’ve gone with a big story and there’s slow dancing, there’s fast dancing, he’s got a solo. Lots of surprises,” Katya added.

Gemma and Aljaz

Gemma Atkinson and Aljaz Skorjanec Showdance to Show Me How You Burlesque by Christina Aguilera.

Aljaz said: “It’s basically paying tribute to our whole Strictly story, and how much Gemma has improved her confidence and being a really strong woman from day one.

“It’s a great track and I’ve been wanting to do it for a little while actually and so to do it for the showdance…It suits Gemma really well.”

The Strictly Come Dancing 2017 final airs tonight from 6:30PM on BBC One.
