Strictly Come Dancing results and spoilers: Karim Zeroual tops scores but who’s going home?

Here’s a spoiler-filled recap of tonight’s Strictly Come Dancing 2019 ahead of the results.

Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman hosted the second live show tonight, as the couples aimed to dazzle the fabulous four judges – Motsi Mabuse, Bruno Tonioli, Craig Revel Horwood and head judge Shirley Ballas.

The judges’ scores from this week were added to their scores from last week’s spectacular first live show. The vote lines then opened and viewers at home could have their say on their favourite couples. Sadly, someone will be leaving the competition in Sunday night’s results show and no-one wants to be the first to go.

Karim Zeroual finished this weekend top of the scoreboard from across the two weeks with a combined score of 63 points.

He and pro partner Amy Dowden danced a Foxtrot to score 32 points, the joint highest marks of the night.

The marks were matched by Michelle Visage and Giovanni Pernice who danced a Viennese Waltz, ranking second on the combined leaderboard with a total of 62 points across the first two weeks.

Having topped the week one leaderboard, Kelvin Fletcher and Oti Mabuse ranked in third with 28 points for their Waltz making for a total of 60 points for their two dances.

Meanwhile Chris Ramsey and Karen Hauer bounced back from their first low-rated live performance, doubling their week one score with 26 points for their Charleston.

Mike Bushell and Katya Jones’s “very odd” American Smooth to Rhinestone Cowboy by Glen Campbell left the judges near speechless with some daring lifts, but a lack of dance content resulted in just 14 points.

At the bottom end of the scoreboard there was bad news for both sports stars David James and James Cracknell.

David and Nadiya Bychkova scored the lowest marks of the night – and the series to date – with just 10 points for their Paso Doble to España cañí. It left the couple with a combined score of 27 across the first two weeks.

However it was James and Luba Mushtuk who ended up bottom of the leaderboard.

Their Jive to Tutti Frutti by Little Richard did improve on last week but with a total of just 24 points between their two dances the pair are chalked up as the favourites to be leaving in the results.

The total judges’ marks from the past two weeks will now be combined with the results from the first public vote tonight.

The two celebrity couples in the bottom two of the overall rankings will find themselves having to dance again in tomorrow night’s (Sunday) results show.
