Here’s a spoiler-filled recap of tonight’s Strictly Come Dancing 2019 latest live show.
So far two couples have left the competition – and tonight (October 12) the remaining dancing duos performed a new selection of dazzling ballroom and Latin routines.
The pairs once again tried to impress ballroom bigwigs Shirley Ballas, Motsi Mabuse, Bruno Tonioli and Craig Revel Horwood, who were watching their every move before passing their verdicts.
Topping this week’s leaderboard was Karim Zeroual who scored the highest marks of the series so far for his Tango. Described as “incredible” by Craig, Karim’s total score of 38 included two tens.
He eclipsed last weekend’s scoreboard leader, Kelvin Fletcher, who scored another impressive total of 36 marks for his Rumba. Craig jokingly branded the saucy routine “filth” while Bruno compared Kelvin’s hips to “weapons”.
Also enjoying a good night were Emma Barton who scored 35 points after performing the Viennese Waltz with Anton Du Beke, and Saffron Barker who got 33 marks for her Contemporary routine with AJ Pritchard.
Mike Bushell proved the real surprise of the night with his Quickstep scoring 32 points – including a nine from Motsi – up 14 points on last weekend.
Meanwhile, David James bounced back from his second appearance in the dance off last weekend, where it was Anneka Rice who left Strictly. His Quickstep provided a “miraculous recovery” as he scored his best marks yet with 28 points. “I’ve never seen a transformation like this. I’m gobsmacked,” Bruno said.
At the bottom end of the scoreboard, Alex Scott’s Tango left her bottom with 23 points while the Foxtrot proved challenging for Will Bayley, scoring 24 marks.

As always, the judges’ scores are only half the story.
The judges’ marks will now be combined with the results from the latest public vote tonight.
The two celebrity couples in the bottom two of the overall rankings will find themselves having to dance again in tomorrow night’s (Sunday) results show.
