Strictly Come Dancing celebrities to face first ever ‘Paso-Doble-a-thon’

The remaining Strictly Come Dancing 2017 celebrities will face a brand new challenge next weekend.

Over the years, Strictly has seen a number of special rounds: We’ve had a Waltz-a-Thon, Quickstep-a-thon and last year’s Cha-Cha-Cha Challenge.

This year sees another new one: A Paso Doble-a-thon.

Everyone will be hoping to impress the judges for valuable extra points, which will be added to their scores for their main routines.

The remaining celebs will all take to the dancefloor at the same time, dancing a Paso Doble with their pro partners.

The judges will then eliminate the couples one at a time. The longer a couple stays in, the more extra points they will win.

The first couple eliminated will get one point, the second to go will get to and so on. The winner will have seven extra points. These marks will be added to the scores out of 40 for their usual main routines.

The total points from the judges will then be combined with the results of the latest viewer vote to decide who will be in the dance off again.

Those left in the competition right now are Mollie King & AJ Pritchard, Susan Calman & Kevin Clifton and Alexandra Burke & Gorka Marquez.

Also still competing are Debbie McGee, & Giovanni Pernice and Gemma Atkinson & Aljaž Škorjanec.

Finally, rounding off the pairs are Davood Ghadami & Nadiya Bychkova and Joe McFadden & Katya Jones.

Strictly Come Dancing 2017 continues with the remaining seven couples next weekend on BBC One.
