Strictly Come Dancing 2022 line up get glam ahead of launch show

Here’s a first look at this year’s Strictly Come Dancing 2022 line up as they prepare to hit the ballroom.

Strictly will kick off this weekend with a double-episode special.

The pre-recorded launch show will air Friday night from 7PM as the celebrities are partnered with their professionals.

Then on Saturday evening from 6:45PM they’ll hit the dancefloor LIVE for the very first time.

Confirmed celebs for the 2022 Strictly Come Dancing line up include TV actor Will Mellor, footballing icon Tony Adams, KISS FM presenter Tyler West, comic and actress Ellie Taylor and media personality Richie Anderson.

Joining them are TV personality Helen Skelton, TV and radio presenter Kaye Adams, stand up comedian Jayde Adams, musician and actor Matt Goss and Paralympic champion Ellie Simmonds.

Completing contestants are soap star James Bye, presenter & actress Kym Marsh, Wildlife cameraman & presenter Hamza Yassin, singer, TV & radio presenter Fleur East and CBBC actress Molly Rainford.

Meanwhile the returning professional dancers on Strictly this year Nancy Xu, Graziano Di Prima, Kai Widdrington, Gorka Marquez, Luba Mushtuk, Katya Jones, Amy Dowden and Johannes Radebe.

Also back are Neil Jones, Nadiya Bychkova, Jowita Przystal, Nikita Kuzmin, Karen Hauer, Dianne Buswell, Cameron Lombard and Giovanni Pernice.

They’re joined by new pros Lauren Oakley, Michelle Tsiakkas, Vito Coppola and Carlos Gu.

Each week the celebrity and professional pairings take to the ballroom wanting to excite the judges and those watching at home.

Every performance will be scored by the Strictly Come Dancing judging panel Motsi Mabuse, Craig Revel Horwood, Shirley Ballas and Anton Du Beke before fans can vote.

In the results the lowest ranked pairings will battle it out in the dance off before one is sent home.

Strictly Come Dancing launches Friday, 23 September at 7PM on BBC One.

The first live show follows the very next day at 6:45PM on Saturday, 24 September.
