Strictly spoiler! Strictly results tonight

Here’s a spoiler-filled recap of the Strictly Come Dancing 2019 semi-final performances and scores.

It was the Semi Finals on Strictly Come Dancing this week and one more celebrity will be going this Sunday.

As the competition is in its final stages, each couple performed not one but two routines in a bid to impress the judges and audience at home – and reach next week’s all important grand final.

Shirley Ballas, Bruno Tonioli, Craig Revel Horwood and Motsi Mabuse were on hand to give their penultimate judgement before voting lines opened for viewers to back their favourite.

Topping the scores this weekend was Kelvin Fletcher with a total of 70 points. His first dance, a Quickstep to The Lady is a Tramp by Glee Cast was, described as a “sparkling delight” by Bruno and scored Kelvin’s perfect 40 points.

However Kelvin’s second routine – a Paso Doble to Seven Nation Army by The White Stripes – didn’t quite match up with 37 points as the judges got picky over technique.

Karim Zeroual ranked second with a combined 74 points. His first dance was described as ‘one of the hardest Argentine Tangos in Strictly history’. Craig said he found the intricate routine “too aggressive” but Motsi loved it leading to a score of 36 points.

Karim’s second dance was an American Smooth to Sweet Caroline by Neil Diamond which Shirley said was “absolutely flawless until the lift” but both Bruno and Motsi awarded tens for a total score of 38.

In third on the leaderboard, Emma Barton had a total of 67 points. Emma kicked off the semi-final with Cha Cha Cha to Hold My Hand by Jess Glynne which despite some criticisms over her leg placement scored a solid 31 points.

Her second routine, a Waltz to Gymnopédie No.1 by Erik Satie, scored 36 points. The dance received glowing praise from Shirley and Bruno but Craig had a few complaints over the footwork.

Ranking last of the four semi-finalists was Chris Ramsey with a total of 54 points. Chris’ Viennese Waltz scored 26 points, making Craig “extremely proud” with his performance but Shirley said there were “too many mistakes” for her.

When it came to his second dance, the Rumba, Craig commented simply “wrong dance, wrong day” before scoring just 4. Shirley said she enjoyed the routine “in a different way”, scoring an 8 along with the other judges for a total of 28 points.
