Strictly Come Dancing 2018 results: Lee Ryan reacts to his elimination

Lee Ryan has reacted his exit from Strictly Come Dancing in last night’s results.

As usual in the Strictly Come Dancing results, the judges’ marks were combined with the viewer votes. Lee and his pro partner Nadiya Bychkova found themselves in the bottom two with Charles Venn and his partner Karen Clifton.

They both reprised their latest dances before judges Shirley Ballas, Darcey Bussell, Bruno Tonioli and Craig Revel Horwood then had to decide who to save, with new head judge Shirley having the casting vote.

Craig, Bruno, Darcey all saved Charles, sending Lee home, although Shirley said she’d have saved Lee.

Giving their votes, Craig said: “The better dancers for me on the night were Charles and Karen.”

And Darcey added: “I wish both these couples weren’t here so it’s tough but the better couple for me was Charles and Karen.”

Speaking after his exit, Lee said: “I’ve had a really lovely time, even though it’s been short it seems like I’ve been here a long time because it’s been so intense, it’s been amazing.

“I love these guys, I absolutely love every single one of them. There’s so much love in everyone it’s been a memory that I will treasure for the rest of my life, I really will.”

Meanwhile, Lee’s pro partner Nadiya added: “Just stay the way you are because you’re such an amazing person and I love you so much.”

Sunday’s Results show also saw the Strictly studio transformed into one of the wettest locations in London as the professional dancers performed a very modern tribute to Singing In The Rain.

Plus, there was a special musical performance from Grammy Award-winner Gladys Knight, who performed the Bond classic Licence To Kill.

The remaining thirteen couples will take to the dancefloor next week when Strictly Come Dancing returns on Saturday 13th October at 6.40pm with the results show on Sunday 14th October at 7.45pm on BBC One.
