Another celebrity has left Strictly Come Dancing 2017 in last night’s results but who was eliminated?
This weekend the seven remaining couples danced twice to impress the viewers at home as well as judges Shirley Ballas, Darcey Bussell, Bruno Tonioli and Craig Revel Horwood.
The panel marked all the routines as usual before Strictly’s first ever Paso-Doble-Thon took place.
The extra challenge saw up to seven extra points awarded to the celebs, before lines opened for the viewers to vote for their favourite.
In last Sunday night’s results, the total marks from the judges for the latest dances and Paso-Doble-Thon were added together and combined with the results of the viewer vote.
Who left Strictly Come Dancing 2017 this week?
Those in the bottom were Alexandra Burke and her partner Gorka Marquez; and Susan Calman and her partner Kevin Clifton.
It was the first time in the dance off for both and it was Susan Calman who left Strictly Come Dancing 2017 this week.
In the dance off last night, both couples performed their routines again; Alexandra and Gorka did their Rumba to Halo by Beyoncé and Susan and Kevin performed their American Smooth to Beyond the Sea by Bobby Darin in a bid to impress the judges and remain in the competition.
The judges then chose who to save and it was a unanimous decision.
Strictly Come Dancing 2017 results
Craig Revel Horwood chose to save Alexandra and Gorka: “Well simply the better dance of the night I believe, was Alexandra and Gorka.”
Darcey Bussell chose to save Alexandra and Gorka: “The couple I would like to save just for their artistry and technical ability is Alexandra and Gorka.”
Bruno Tonioli chose to save Alexandra and Gorka: “Well first I really enjoyed them both but for different reasons. I have to say the best dancers in the dance-off were Alexandra and Gorka.”
Head Judge Shirley Ballas agreed with her fellow judges and said she too would have saved Alexandra and Gorka.
Therefore it was Susan and Kevin who bowed out of the competition.
Speaking after her exit, Susan said, “I have loved every minute of it.
“Everyone from wardrobe, make-up, the runners, you and lovely Claudia, Zoe on It Takes Two, the beautiful judges who have brought such light into my life every single week, everyone involved in the show, the audience, everyone who voted for us, we got far further than we thought we would.
“To my friends and my family and my lovely wife who’s here every single week supporting me. Most of all, I’ve made a friend for life and Kevin may not have won the Glitterball this year but he’s won Strictly for me.”
The remaining six couples will return to the dancefloor once more next week when Strictly Come Dancing returns on BBC One with the Quarter Finals.
