Strictly Come Dancing 2017 results! Another shock bottom two dance off

Jonnie Peacock and Debbie McGee were in the bottom two in tonight’s Strictly Come Dancing 2017 results.

It was the second appearance in as many weeks for Jonnie and a surprise debut in the dance off for Debbie, the current favourite to win.

On Saturday, Debbie and her pro partner Giovanni Pernice danced the Samba to Spice Girls Medley (Wannabe / Who Do You Think You Are) to score 33 points from the judges.

Jonnie and his pro dancer Oti Mabuse had performed the Tango to Sweet Dreams by Eurythmics, scoring 26 marks from the judges.

Debbie placed middle of the leaderboard whereas Jonnie was second from bottom, ahead of only Susan Calman who escaped the dance off.

As usual, the results from the public vote were added to the judges’ scores to decide the bottom two in the dance off tonight.

First to be announced as in the dance off were Debbie and Giovanni.

Before they danced again, Strictly judge Shirley Baallas advised: “I’m surprised, but when you go out, if you just give it all you got. Bring that beauty you’ve got, you’re an amazing dancer.”

After also being announced as in the dance off, Jonnie said: “I’m just going to enjoy it, I’m so glad we’ve got to Blackpool. It’s been so much fun.”

Bruno Tonioli told the pair: “Do exactly the same, enjoy it, don’t be nervous, it’s all about firing on all cylinders and give everything you’ve got.”

Both Debbie and Jonnie then danced again for the judges, who had to decide which couple should stay in the competition.

Craig Revel Horwood, Shirley Ballas, Darcey Bussell and Bruno Tonioli all voted the same way, choosing to save Debbie.

Therefore it was Jonnie and pro partner Oti who were voted off Strictly tonight.

Strictly Come Dancing 2017 is back next Saturday and Sunday night, live on BBC One.
