Stephen Mulhern ‘to replace Phillip Schofield on Dancing On Ice’

Stephen Mulhern is set to host Dancing On Ice alongside Holly Willoughby.

The telly presenter has reportedly been offered the role to replace Phillip Schofield on the celebrity ice skating show..

It comes after Phillip resigned from ITV and all future TV shows in May. He had hosted Dancing On Ice since its first series in 2006.

A source told the Daily Mirror of the presenter switch: “Stephen is the perfect choice. Not only does he get on brilliantly with Holly, he is relaxed and fun which sits well with a show like Dancing on Ice.”

An official announcement on Dancing On Ice’s presenting line up is expected soon.

Dancing On Ice will return to ITV1 and ITVX next year, usually starting in January.

Confirmed names for Dancing On Ice in 2024 are reality star Miles Nazaire, comedian Lou Sanders, stage and screen star Claire Sweeney, stage star Amber Davies, champion boxerRicky Hatton MBE and actor Ricky Norwood.

Completing the cast are S Club 7 star Hannah Spearritt, radio host Adele Roberts, actress Roxy Shahidi, soap actor Ryan Thomas and Olympian Greg Rutherford MBE.

Meanwhile an injury has already forced Gogglebox star Stephen Lustig-Webb from the show, replaced on the cast by sports icon Eddie ‘The Eagle’ Edwards.

These stars are gearing up for the ultimate test as they hit the ice rink each week, performing live in an effort to win over both the judging panel and viewers nationwide.

Marking its comeback with a new series, this spectacular ice show is ready to dazzle audiences with even more sparkle, elegance, and breathtaking performances. As the celebrities take on the challenging and risky art of ice skating.

The question arises: who among them will have the prowess to perfect the intricate skills and routines necessary to claim the coveted trophy at the season’s end?

A start date for the series is to be announced.
