Patsy will be reprising her iconic role for a short stint later this year.

The BBC teased this morning: “Confident, brash and one of the Square’s loudest and most memorable characters, a trail of chaos is never far behind Bianca but just what brings her back to Walford?

“Over twenty-five years since her first appearance, Bianca’s return is set to cause a stir in and one thing is for sure, Walford is going to get a whole lot louder…”

After arriving in 1993 as part of the outspoken Jackson family, Bianca quickly became one of the show’s most legendary characters.

Her time in Walford was far from plain sailing and she was at the centre of many dramatic storylines including her relationship with Ricky Butcher which produced her infamous catchphrase, ‘Rickaaay’.

Bianca first left Walford back in 1999 after the shocking reveal she was sleeping with her mum’s fiancé, Dan Sullivan, which ended her marriage with Ricky. After briefly appearing in 2002, Bianca returned to the Square in 2008 after being evicted from her home and risked losing custody of her children.

Her return was anything but easy-going and once again Bianca found herself at the heart of the drama as she was faced with the death of her brother, Billie, as well as many other memorable storylines including the grooming of Whitney by Bianca’s partner at the time, Tony, and her mum’s cancer diagnosis.

After years of drama and troubles in Walford, Bianca set off to start afresh in Milton Keynes and viewers saw her departing for pastures new in 2014 alongside her partner, Terry.

Jon Sen, Executive Producer said today: “When I joined the show in January, bringing Bianca Jackson back to the Square was high on my wish-list. I’m thrilled to announce that Patsy’s agreed to return to reprise her iconic creation in a blistering storyline that will grip fans this autumn.

“There is no one more excited than me to see her step back into Albert Square again. I simply cannot wait.”
