Watch Strictly Come Dancing pros team up with The Greatest Dancer captains

The Greatest Dancer captains teamed up with the Strictly Come Dancing pros for a special performance this weekend.

The Strictly Come Dancing professionals took to the stage on Saturday with Cheryl, Matthew Morrison and their fellow Strictly star, Oti Mabuse.

As part of the routine, Cheryl danced with Pasha Kovalev, who was making his final appearance as a part of Strictly.

He announced this week he’d be leaving the BBC One series as a professional performer after eight series “to find a new challenge”.

Pasha said: “As you might know 2018 was my last year in Strictly, but I’m so excited to share this beautiful stage with my Strictly family one more time.'”

Meanwhile, insiders have claimed that show bosses had to tell the dancers to ‘tone down’ the routine during rehearsals.

“The girls were throwing their legs around Matthew Morrison, who was gyrating his hips on stage,” a source alleged. “The producers worried it looked like they were recreating Coyote Ugly and they had to remind the choreographers it was a family show.”

The Greatest Dancer aired Saturday 16th February, 7:35pm on BBC One.

It was the semi-final of the competition heats up as the remaining six acts take to the stage for the last live challenge show. Each act is competing to make it in to next week’s FINAL where they can win £50,000, a chance to dance on Strictly Come Dancing and become The Greatest Dancer.

The dancers were set their last challenge which they must tackle with their Dance Captain to create an unforgettable performance.

As always, the power was in the hands of the viewers at home as they voted to decide who makes it to next week’s final.

Following the second live show results last weekend, Cheryl’s squad was the only one that remains full, made up of all girl dance group Dan Bates Collective, duo Harry & Eleiyah and four piece street group Frobacks.

Oti was down to two acts after losing The Globe Girls in last week’s first elimination. Still in the running for her are Latin formation group KLA and 14-year-old contemporary solo dancer Ellie Fergusson.

Finally, Matthew had just teenage dance duo James & Oliver on his team in Saturday’s semi-final.
