Love Island’s Samira Mighty is reportedly being sued by her former West End bosses.
The performer had been appearing in Dreamgirls but quit the show to appear on Love Island.
Now it’s been claimed the production company have launched legal action for compensation.
According to The Sun newspaper, they allegedly want £3,000 after Samira walked out of her role.
A source told the tabloid: “She won’t walk into a job any time soon.
“Her name is mud and her behaviour totally unprofessional.”
Speaking before entering Love Island, Samira had spoken about her role saying she felt she couldn’t turn Love Island down.
“I was in ensemble so it was quite easy to fill, I didn’t have a cover that was harder to cast, so someone from last year is doing it now,” Samira told the Metro newspaper. “It was win win, if I carried on in Dreamgirls – it’s fantastic and I love it so much – but in five months I may be unemployed again, but [Love Island] was fantastic, I couldn’t turn it down.”
Samira added: “I also write my own music and stuff so it would be great to get my music out on YouTube.”
Discussing her decision to apply for Love Island, Samira said: “I’m looking for an experience that I’ve never had before, loads of fun, the opportunity to meet a really nice guy, or even a best friend, and the chance to find myself.
“I haven’t had the chance to have a proper Summer break before because I’ve been doing long contracts in West End shows like Mamma Mia and Dreamgirls. I have the whole days free, when everyone is at work, then work in the evenings, so I haven’t really had the chance to meet anyone.”
Love Island continues nightly on ITV2 at 9PM.
