Sam Thompson set for Made In Chelsea return with Love Island’s Zara McDermott

Sam Thompson is set to return to Made In Chelsea – and Love Island’s Zara McDermott will join him.

Sam and Zara, who appeared on Love Island last year, confirmed their relationship in June this year.

It’s been reported this week that the couple will appear in Made In Chelsea’s upcoming series, which will begin soon on E4.

Series 18 will see Sam make a return to the cast after sitting the last set of episodes out.

Sources say that Sam will confront Jamie Laing who is currently dating Sam’s ex, Sophie Habboo.

A source told The Sun newspaper: “Sam has been left devastated by Jamie’s actions. They’ve been close friends for years and Jamie knows how heartbroken Sam was when Habbs finished with him.”

The Daily Mail adds that Zara will appear alongside Sam although “the extent of her involvement is still to be determined.”

Zara and Sam recently revealed how they got together earlier this year after she ‘slid into his DMs’.

Zara told the MailOnline: “We met a year-and-a-half ago at an event before I was on Love Island. He doesn’t remember as he was drunk! We got speaking on Instagram three to four months ago and here we are.”

“I was in the Dominican Republic, minding my own business, when Zara replied to an Instagram story… Zara slid into my DMs,” Sam explained. “It was great as then I had the courage to ask her out on a date, we went on our first date about three months ago now.

“Since the moment she slid into my DMs, we haven’t not spoke every day.”

Alongside Jamie and Sam, series 18 of Made In Chelsea will welcome back regulars Olivia Bentley, Alex Mytton, Mark Francis Vandelli, Miles Nazaire, James Taylor, Sophie ‘Habbs’ Habboo, Sophie Hermann, Harry Barron and Melissa Tattam, Oliver Proudlock, Fredrick Ferrier, Eliza Batten and Victoria Baker-Harber.

Also joining the cast will be series 17’s newer faces Maeva D’Ascanio, Verity Scarlett Bowditch, Freddie Brown, Amelia Mist, Rosi Mai and Angus Findlay.
