Rylan wants the Britain’s Got Talent judges to compete on Supermarket Sweep

Host dreams of Simon Cowell and Ant and Dec going wild in the aisles

Rylan Clark-Neal wants Ant and Dec and Simon Cowell to compete in a Britain’s Got Talent edition of Supermarket Sweep.

The classic shopping gameshow has been given a new lease of life on ITV2, with Rylan taking over from the late Dale Winton as presenter.

It has been hugely popular with viewers, quickly becoming one of the channel’s most-watched shows.

Now Rylan wants to take the reboot to the next level with some all-star celebrity specials.

He reckons players from Coronation Street and Emmerdale editions would be a hit – but his dream guests are the stars of Britain’s Got Talent.

The former X Factor star wants to reunite with Simon Cowell by getting him to play alongside David Walliams, against fellow judges Amanda Holden and Alesha Dixon.

The third pair of players would of course be much-loved hosting duo Ant and Dec.

“It would be carnage. That is a group of six who would be great. They are always up for a laugh,” Rylan told The Sun.

“I reckon Simon has never been in a supermarket, there’s a first time for everything. I would love to see him go wild in the aisles.”

Unfortunately the chances of us seeing Simon dashing around a makeshift Tesco are slim to nil.

However, as Rylan put it, the sight would be “TV gold”.

The current series of Supermarket Sweep has featured a Love Island-themed episode, with Ovie Soko and India Reynolds winning the £3,000 prize for charity.

Other highlights have included one contestant getting Rylan’s name spectacularly wrong, calling him “Dale”.

The final four episodes air this week on ITV2, at 8pm every night until Friday.

Super-busy Rylan was also recently announced as the frontman for a revival of Ready Steady Cook.
