Rylan Clark-Neal says no to returning to The X Factor for ‘All Star’ series

Rylan Clark-Neal has ruled out a return to The X Factor for its rumoured al star series.

The X Factor could see a huge shake-up this year, with Simon Cowell recently revealing hopes to air both a Celebrity and All Star version of X Factor, in place of the regular series.

Rylan, who appeared on the show back in 2012 says he “cannot wait” for the spin-offs.

However, he ruled out taking part in either of them himself.

“I literally cannot wait to watch it, just to see who goes back. I am gonna be with popcorn, sat there loving life watching it,” Rylan said.

He told the Daily Star newspaper: “If they want to pay me a load of money I’d think about it…

“But no, I’m looking forward to watching it, I really, really am.”

Rylan later reaffirmed his decision on Twitter, writing of a potential X Factor return: “Nope nope and nope”.

He’s not the only X Factor star to rule themselves out of the show.

Olly Murs, Saara Aalto and Fleur East have all said in interviews they wouldn’t return for another go.

But Sam Bailey – who won the show in 2013 – and Shane Ritchie have both said they’d be up for it.

X Factor boss Simon announced his plans for The X Factor in 2019 earlier this year.

The TV chief suggested that The X Factor would broadcast two separate shows back to back this autumn, one seeing celebrities compete and the other featuring a line up of past contestants.

Simon described the upcoming series as a “huge change”, continuing: “We haven’t exactly confirmed the dates or the order of the shows, but essentially there are going to be two versions of X Factor running this year.

“I think it’s going to be huge, it’s the best I’ve felt about this show in years.”

As yet, official plans for The X Factor this year have not been announced by ITV.

The X Factor typically begins on TV in September.
