Here’s a throwback to Louis Tomlinson’s first X Factor audition.
Louis is one of three new X Factor 2018 judges this year alongside husband and wife Robbie Williams and Ayda Williams.
They join Simon Cowell on the panel, with the show due to launch on ITV later this year.
Louis of course rose to fame on The X Factor himself, appearing on the show back in 2010.
And here’s a reminder of his original audition…
Appearing as a solo artist, Louis performed There Delilah by The Plain White T’s.
His audition got him three yeses from Simon plus then judges Louis Walsh and Nicole Scherzinger.
Louis went on to form part of One Direction and the rest is History…
As a member of One Direction he has sold more than 150 million records worldwide and achieved more than 100 global No1s. One Direction were the biggest selling UK act globally for three consecutive years and in 2013 they were overall the biggest selling act in the world.
As a solo artist, Louis’ single Back to You hit No.1 in 37 countries and has been streamed more than 220 million times. He recently won the 2018 iHeartRadio award for Best Solo Breakout and is currently recording his debut solo album.
On joining the show, Louis said: “The X Factor for me made a lot of sense. Development of artists is something I’ve been interested in for a long time.
“Having been on the show myself I know first-hand that the live shows are like nothing else you would experience. I’m looking forward to guiding auditonees through the process.”
Meanwhile, speaking backstage at Wembley, Louis said ahead of filming the six chair challenge: “It was as brutal if not more brutal than as you see on TV.”
He added: “I’m nervous about my category tomorrow and excited. I hope everyone delivers.”
Those that make it through the next round will go forward to judges’ houses.
From judges’ houses, acts will compete to make the live shows, where Sharon Osbourne will join the panel.
The X Factor 2018 will start on ITV this Saturday night.
