Comic Relief’s Red Nose Day is back for 2024 with the annual telethon live on BBC One tonight, Friday, 15 March.
The event, set to take place live from Media City UK in Salford, will be broadcast across BBC One, BBC Two, and the BBC iPlayer from 7PM.
Who’s presenting?
This year’s show, titled Comic Relief: Funny for Money, will mark a significant moment as it will be Sir Lenny Henry’s final year hosting the event.
He will be accompanied by a host of familiar faces, including Joel Dommett, Davina McCall, Paddy McGuinness, and Romesh Ranganathan, with David Tennant also joining the team.
Making their debut on the Red Nose Day Night of TV will be Maya Jama and Rosie Ramsey.
Comic Schedule and line up
Comic Relief: Funny for Money airs from 7pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
At 10PM the action switches over to BBC Two for Comic Relief: More Funny For Money followed by a Lenny Henry tribute special, Comic Relief: A Whole Lotta Lenny, hosted by Alex Jones back on BBC One at 10:40PM.
The event will feature a dazzling array of sketches, live performances, and unexpected surprises, all aimed at bringing the nation together for a good cause. The fundraising efforts of the night will support Comic Relief’s vital work both in the UK and internationally.

Ian Fletcher (Hugh Bonneville), Siobhan Sharpe (Jessica Hynes), Will the intern (Hugh Skinner) and Tracey Pritchard (Monica Dolan) reunite to hold interviews with some special guests in a bid to find Red Nose Day’s new host.
It’s been seven years since the W1A stars were last on TV together and there’s bound to be a few awkward conversations, especially when Sir Lenny arrives late to his meeting and comes face-to-face with his potential celebrity replacements, each one more ridiculous than the last.

Kate Winslet takes to story corner with a late night CBeebies Bedtime Story especially for parents as she reads F***, Now There Are Two of You.
The Tourist vs Mastermind
Elliott Stanley, played by Jamie Dornan in BBC One’s The Tourist, finds himself face to face with the steely Clive Myrie in the iconic Mastermind chair. Faced with a torrent of questions he will need to rack his brain to try to remember… well anything!
Most famous face
In a brand-new multi-celebrity sketch, Julia Roberts, Olivia Colman, Hugh Grant and Liam Neeson make special appearances in a sketch to argue it out to be named the most famous face.
Alan Partridge
North Norfolk Digital’s most prolific radio host, Alan Partridge will be riding the regional airwaves all the way from his studio joined by Sidekick Simon.
Musical performances
McFly will open the show with a special medley of some of the most-loved Comic Relief singles from the last few years, including Walk This Way and, of course, All About You.
The cast of Just For One Day, the Live Aid Musical, will perform a special musical medley.
Singing sensation JERUB will take to the stage with a moving song to celebrate Sir Lenny Henry’s last year of hosting while Jack Black will issue a musical call to action. Paloma Faith will perform her new single, Enjoy yourself (The Red Nose Day Edition).
Plus, there will be and appearances from celebrities such as Luke Littler, Martin Lewis, and The Gladiators will ensure an unforgettable evening.
Additionally, viewers will have the chance to win spectacular prizes, including an Aston Martin donated by Chris Evans and CarFest, reminiscent of the one featured in the James Bond film Die Another Day.
