The Voice Kids: How it all works from auditions to the live final

Danny Jones, Pixie Lott and will.i.am.

The Voice Kids is back for series two all this week on ITV - and here's all you need to know.

Fresh from his stint on The Voice UK, global music star will.i.am returns to his big red chair alongside pop princess Pixie Lott and McFly frontman Danny Jones on the three-coach panel.

Presented by Emma Willis, the new series is open to talented young soloists between the ages of seven and 14.

The series is similar to the main show, but with a few twists.

The show kicks off with the Blind Auditions, with each coach needing to fill a team of 12 singers.

And just like their adult counterparts, the youngsters perform to a live band headed by music director David Tench as they try to persuade the coaches to hit their buttons.

After each performance, all the coaches’ chairs turn so they can give feedback and encouragement, even if they didn’t press their buttons.

Those that make it through the auditions head into the battles.

The Voice Kids sees three way Battles as the group of acts sing off for one place in the semi-final.

And there are no steals on The Voice Kids – meaning no second chances for the coaches.

The final four acts in each team then sing in the semi-final for a spot in the spectacular live finale – with viewers choosing the ultimate winner.

The winner will scoop a £30,000 bursary towards their musical education plus a dream family holiday to Disneyland Paris.

The Voice Kids airs each night on ITV over the next week.
