The Apprentice 2018 is set to return to BBC One at the end of the year again.

The BBC One reality series always used to begin in the Spring but it seems as though the show will now be sticking to its new winter time slot.

It was Sarah Lynn AND James White who won The Apprentice 2017 in this evening's final results results.

The surprise outcome was a first for the show in its history, as Lord Sugar decided to invest his cash in both candidates.

In a shock twist, when faced with the decision between the two candidates, Lord Sugar decided it was a dead heat, and picked both to be his business partner. Both winners will receive a £250,000 business investment and 50/50 partnership with the multi-millionaire business mogul.

Applications for the new series took place earlier this year with filming starting earlier this Spring.

Although no exact start date has been set just yet, past series have launched in the autumn around the first or second week of October.

It will The Apprentice's fourteenth series and the first since the BBC announced a new three-year deal for the show.

The show will continue on the channel until 2020 under a new three-year-deal, it's been reported by Broadcast.

A peak audience of 7 million watched last year's final, up on the past two years.

The Apprentice 2018 / Series 14 will air on BBC One later this year.
