Kevin and Karen Clifton's future on Strictly Come Dancing seems up in the air.
It follows claims that one of the pair could be axed after recently announcing their split.
The two Strictly Come Dancing professional dancers married in 2015, but this week they confirmed rumours they were no longer together.
It's been reported that their potential split could lead to one of the duo leaving the show - with Karen the favourite to go.
“Feelings are mixed on Karen. They don’t want the show to be associated with the negative publicity generated by her actions," a source told the Daily Mirror.
"Bosses are aware tensions between Kevin and Karen will be high so considered bringing one of them back to make things easier," a source explained. “However, after they decided not to bring back Brendan Cole, they didn’t want to risk any further backlash by getting rid of another established pro.
"Kevin and Karen will be professional on the show but it’s unlikely you’ll spot them happily standing next to each other on camera.”
Speaking on Radio 2 this week, Kevin said: "We don't know yet. We sort of get told a bit later on in the year whether we are or not.
"I hope so. We both love the show so much. If they were to ask us back we'd both be delighted to come back again. We love Strictly."
A spokesperson for the BBC said: “Strictly Come Dancing returns later in the year and the pro line- up will be revealed in due course.”
Last year Karen opened up about the rumours regarding her relationship, saying: "We're a regular couple, we've been together for seven years, and like any other relationship, you have ups and downs.
"We just need to keep pushing. Relationships take work. It's not as easy as you think, especially being in a job like Strictly.
"We're not a superhuman couple, we're normal, so when things happen, we fight."
During 2017's series, Kevin seemed to make a public apology to Karen as he said in the live shows: “When Strictly is on I’m not the easiest person to live with.
"I go a bit mad so I’d like to say first of all thanks to my wife for putting up with me.”
Strictly Come Dancing airs on BBC One.
