The new series of Bake Off is currently airing Tuesday nights on Channel 4.

After filming earlier this year, it’s rumoured that two of the contestants are now in a relationship.

Geography Teacher Alice Fevronia from London and Henry Bird from Durham are said to have hit it off in the tent.

“The Bake Off contestants do become very close, and Alice and Henry hit it off from the start as they have a lot in common,” a source claimed to The Sun newspaper. “They confided in each other a lot during the process, which can be quite intense at times.

“And since filming finished they have been spending more time together — including a few dates.”

The insider said it was “early days” , adding: “Who knows what will happen, but it looks like their relationship has all the right ingredients.”

The Great British Bake Off is back tonight at 8PM on Channel 4.

Last week saw a Bake Off first as the contestants competed in Dairy Week.

At the end of the challenges, Steph Blackwell was crowned star baker while it was Phil Thorne who left the Great British Bake Off this week.

This wee kthe remaining nine bakers face three new challenges all inspired by the ‘roaring twenties’.

There’s a Signature task that’s a decorative take on bakes usually found in slapstick films – the classic custard pie – before a Technical that tests each baker’s timing and consistency.

Finally, the bakers’ latest Showstopper challenge sees them face a three tiered cake based on their favourite tipple.

As always, one baker will be crowned star baker while judges Prue Leith and Paul Hollywood will decide who is next to go home.
