The Circle is a brand new reality show for the social media age, with a £100,000 prize up for grabs for the winner.

In a game where anyone can be anyone, The Circle’s players all live in the same building but reside in completely separate apartments. Never meeting face to face, players communicate only via social media platform The Circle as they compete to be the voted popular by the other contestants.

Tonight saw another player lose out in the game and it was Brooke Odunbaku who was blocked. She was therefore eliminated and left The Circle.

Their elimination followed the latest round of ratings where each player ranked one another from favourite to least favourite. New player Busayo (playing as Josh) could not be rated.

Here’s how the results of the ratings panned out…

The Circle ratings

1st. Tim
2nd. Ella

3rd. Woody
4th. James (playing as Sammie)
5th.= Georgina
5th.= Paddy
7th. Brooke
8th. Beth & Jack (playing together as Joyce)

As the two most popular players, Tim and Ella became influencers and had to decide who to block.

But first, they each got to save one player. Tim chose to save Woody and Ella chose to save James (known to her as Sammie).

With Georgina, Paddy, Brooke and Beth/Jack (aka Joyce) left at risk, they had to each make a plea to Tim and Ella explaining why they should stay in the game.

“This is horrible, this is savage,” reacted Woody.

Delivering their verdict, Ella announced that she and Tim had decided to block Brooke.

Before leaving, Brooke got the chance to meet another player face to face for the first time, choosing to chat with Georgina.

The Circle 2019 airs Monday-Friday and Sunday nights at 10PM on Channel 4.
