Don’t Tell The Bride wedding cancelled for first time in show’s history

Don’t Tell The Bride’s latest wedding was cancelled in a first for the series.

Don’t Tell The Bride continued on Sunday evening at 9PM on E4 with its latest episode.

Now a decade old, the hit reality show sees grooms with often questionable wedding plans given £14,000 to spend on their marriage while leaving their bride to be completely in the dark.

As always, the latest couple were banned from contacting one another for three weeks as the groom and his friends were left on their own to organise everything from the venue and the cake to the flowers and that all-important wedding dress.

However producers cancelled the wedding after discovering that the bride had discovered details of the groom’s secret plans.

Yanis Wilkinson Teece and fiancée Chanise Frame were taking part in the show, with Yanis planning a wedding in Paris.

Producers became suspicious when one of Chanise’s friends let slip that she was aware of the international location for her nuptials.

It was revealed that Chanise had discovered details about the secret plans in emails.

“Chanise got access to my iPad with my emails in there, so technically the bride wasn’t told, the bride found out through email,” Yanis explained.

Consequently, producers cancelled the planned getaway and wedding reception in a first for the series.

“Now that the secret is out, we cannot continue to film this wedding as if the bride has no idea of the plans.” a producer Yanis and the bridesmaids.

They then told Chanise: “I know this is difficult but the rules have been broken and we are going to have to cancel this wedding.”

Chanise said: “The last couple of days have been quite difficult – the first night we were like, what is happening, it was very heartbreaking.”

Yanis added: “I try not to think about it. I’m trying to detach myself from the whole situation and what’s happened. I understand what Chanise did, but I don’t agree with it, it wasn’t right thing to do.”

It’s since been reported that following filming, Yanis and Chanise are no longer together.

Don’t Tell The Bride airs Sunday nights at 9PM on E4.
