Britain’s Got Talent’s all stars Champions series is on its way – here’s all you need to know.
Britain’s Got Talent: The Champions follows the success of a similar American show which aired on TV in the States – and on Netflix here in the UK – earlier in 2019.
The special season will feature acts from the past 13 series of Britain’s Got Talent returning to the stage.
They’ll compete head to head with not only one another but also against other acts from Got Talent shows from the world to find the Ultimate Champion.
Britain’s Got Talent Champions line up
Contestants in the all stars line up are set to include Series 1 champ Paul Potts as well as Stavros Flatley and 2012 Britain’s Got Talent winner Ashleigh Butler, who secured victory as dog act Ashleigh and Pudsey. Following the pooch’s sad death two years ago, she now performs with his replacement, Sully.
More returning acts are reigning champion Colin Thackery, 2016 winner Richard Jones, 2008 BGT winner George Sampson, 2011 champion Jai McDowall, 2014 winners Collabro, magician Ben Hart, dance duo Twist and Pulse and singer Connie Talbot, who first appeared on BGT’s first series when she was 6.
Joining them are comedians Daliso Chaponda, Jack Carroll and Lost Voice Guy, sword-swallower Alex Magala, magician Darcey Oake and former golden buzzer acts Bars and Melody, Merseygirls and Boogie Storm.
Plus, dance duo Paddy & Nico are back after being forced out of the semi-finals in 2014 due to an injury.
International acts will include American comedian Vicki Barbolak, ventriloquist Paul Zerdin, Ukrainian sand performance artist Kseniya Simonova, Danger act, Deadly Games; Alexa Lauenburger and her incredible dogs; and what could be the most terrifying performer yet, The Sacred Riana.

Britain’s Got Talent All Stars start date
The exact start date for Britain’s Got Talent’s Champions series has now been confirmed for Saturday, August 31. The first episode will air between 8PM and 10PM on ITV.
Each week, two acts make it through to the grand finale – the first is a Golden Buzzer act chosen by one of the judges or Ant and Dec while the second is voted through by superfans in the arena audience.
Hosts Ant and Dec have been confirmed to return to present the show, alongside the usual BGT judges Amanda Holden, Simon Cowell, David Walliams and Alesha Dixon.

Filming took place earlier this year in July at Wembley Arena in front of a live crowd.
The series – including the results – will be pre-recorded, with an audience vote deciding who wins.
