David Wallims has revealed he’s pressed his golden buzzer on Britain’s Got Talent for a ‘magical’ act.
Filming for this year’s auditions is currently underway in Manchester.
And during a recording session this week, David hit the golden buzzer for a very special act.
When pressed, the golden buzzer sends the act on stage straight through to the live shows. Each of the judges – David, Alesha Dixon, Amanda Holden and Simon Cowell – plus hosts Ant and Dec can only use it once.
In a video shared on the official BGT Twitter account, David said: “I have just pressed my Golden Buzzer and I think it’s one of the most magical acts I’ve ever seen on Britain’s Got Talent.
“So I hope you all agree,” he added.
David became the last of the judges and hosts to use the button this year.
“I just pressed my golden buzzer. I feel so happy. I feel amazing. It was so good,” Alesha said in a backstage video shared on Twitter during filming in London last month.
Ant and Dec later tweeted: “We hit our @BGT Golden Buzzer today. It’s a real good’un. You’ll have to wait to see who it is tho…. #BGT”
Britain’s Got Talent 2019 will begin to air on ITV in the Spring. The series typically launches on Saturday nights in April.
Leanne stunned the theatre when she took to the stage and revealed she’d “survived Grenfell”. Simon is quoted as telling her: “You should be very proud…. For everyone who lost their lives and had all this crap thrown at them, you’ve had the courage to come out here and pay tribute. You did something very special for them and for you.”
Meanwhile, Simon Simon faced a knife thrower that saw him get up on stage and risk his life.
“OK, so that was the scariest thing ever. I now realise how hard it is!” Simon confessed after the audition.
