Lights, camera, action! Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman hosted Strictly Come Dancing’s first themed week this evening as the 14 remaining couples performed routines inspired by some of the greatest films of all time.

Tonight’s episode opened with a homage to the Harry Potter movies, as the professional dancers recreated some of the most iconic scenes in a truly magical group routine from the set of the films at Warner Bros. Studios.

After saying goodbye to the first couple last weekend, the pressure was building for the remaining celebrities and their professional dancers as they took to the dancefloor in a bid to impress the judges, Shirley Ballas, Dame Darcey Bussell, Bruno Tonioli and Craig Revel Horwood.

Last week’s scoreboard leader Ashley Roberts once again impressed, dancing a Salsa to (I’ve Had) Time Of My Life by Bill Medley and Jennifer Warnes from Dirty Dancing. She and pro partner Pasha Kovalev nailed the iconic lift to score a personal best of 35 points.

But it was fellow popstar Faye Tozer who topped the leaderboard, dancing a Quickstep with Giovanni Pernice to You’re The One That I Want from Grease to score 36 points.

Also impressing this week were Seann Walsh and Katya Jones, bouncing back from last week’s low with a Paso Doble to the Matrix Theme, and Stacey Dooley and Kevin Clifton, who Jived to Happy by Pharrell Williams from Despicable Me 2.

At the other end, Lee Ryan finds himself as the favourite to go home in the results show.

His Cha Cha Cha was branded “camp mincing around” by Craig Revel Horwood and left him bottom of the table with just 19 points. It was a bad result for Lee after his appearance in the bottom two last week when it was Susannah Constantine who left Strictly Come Dancing.

The total judges’ marks from the past two weeks will now be combined with the results from the latest public vote tonight.

The two celebrity couples in the bottom two of the overall rankings will find themselves having to dance again in tomorrow night’s (Sunday) results show.

Remember, Strictly is back Sunday night on BBC One with the results from 7:45PM.

Plus, the Strictly studio is turned into one of the wettest locations in London as the professional dancers perform a very modern tribute to Singing In The Rain. Also tonight there is a special musical performance from Grammy Award-winner Gladys Knight, who will be performing the Bond classic Licence To Kill.
