The latest Great British Bake Off 2018 results are in – but who left the tent this week?

In Tuesday night’s episode of The Great British Bake Off on Channel 4, Dan was named Star Baker and none of the bakers left the tent.

A always, the tent awaited the remaining bakers, as they took their place under the critical eye of judges Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith with Noel Fielding and Sandi Toksvig returning for presenting duties.

This week was Dessert Week, and the nine remaining bakers had a lot to prove with three sticky challenges set by judges Paul and Prue.

There was a cracking meringue Signature before a wobbly Technical – raspberry blancmange with langues du chat – set by Prue that broke the mould.

Finally, there was a complex chocolate Showstopper that promised to reveal all as contestants were tasked with creating hidden desserts within melting chocolate balls.

However not every one of the remaining bakers took part. An ill Terry was unable to compete and as a result, no bakers left the tent.

As Sandi revealed Dan was Star Baker, Noel said: “The person who is going home this week is nobody. The judges felt it wouldn’t be fair to send someone home with Terry not being here… but the downside to that means that next week there is a strong possibility two people might be going home”.

Noel followed up by sending himself home: “And on that note… it feels weird sending no one home so I’m gonna go. See you later guys.”
