I’m A Celebrity 2017 results: Amir Khan, Georgia Toffolo voted for ‘Critter-cal Rescue’ Trial

Amir Khan and Georgia ‘Toff’ Toffolo have been chosen to embark on a ‘Critter-cal Rescue’ on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! 2017 in the first Bushtucker Trial vote of the series.

The ITV jungle reality show returned tonight, with ten more brave famous faces subjecting themselves to a potential three-week stay in the Australian jungle.

As always, viewers will have the power to control the celebs’ fates, and tonight’s launch featured the first Bushtucker Trial poll.

Almost 2.4million votes were cast on the free I’m A Celebrity app before presenters Ant and Dec visited camp to announce the result.

Unfortunately for Amir and Toff, the public picked them to face a challenge named ‘Critter-cal Rescue’.

One of the unlucky pair will be sealed in a dark cave, while the other will be tasked with freeing them.

Of course, neither will be alone, with snakes, spiders and cockroaches among the creatures they’re set to encounter.

“One celebrity trapped beneath a towering nest, lost in a nightmare world,” the Geordie hosts said in a teaser.

“Another celebrity must crawl through the terrifying caverns of critters to save them.”

It’s not yet clear exactly how the Trial will work, as the celebrities are currently competing for ‘Meal Tickets’ as part of the series launch twist.

They have been split in to pairs of ‘buddies’, but will only get rice and beans to eat until further notice – unless they earn one of the golden tickets.

Currently, Georgia ‘Toff’ Toffolo, Jennie McAlpine, Vanessa White and Rebekah Vardy are the only four campmates in possession of Meal Tickets.

Three of them were won in a terrifying 334 foot-high plank walk, while Becky secured the fourth at the ‘Wretched Wreck’ with help from her skydiving buddy Dennis Wise.

However, Shappi Khorsandi missed out on a fifth ticket after Stanley Johnson failed to answer his question correctly at the Wreck.

Tune in to ITV tomorrow at 9.00pm to find out if Amir and Toff successfully complete their rescue.
