Strictly Come Dancing 2017 results! Who left? First celebrity out in surprise exit

Tonight’s Strictly Come Dancing 2017 results are in but who left?

Following the opening two weekends of live shows, tonight was the first dance off and elimination.

Once all was said and done, Chizzy Akudolu and Pasha Kovalev were the first celebrity couple to leave Strictly Come Dancing 2017.

As usual in the results, the judges’ marks were combined with the viewer votes. Chizzy and her pro partner Pasha found themselves in the bottom two with Brian Conley and his pro partner Amy Dowden.

As always, hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman gathered all 15 of the remaining celebrity couples to read out the safe dancers in no particular order.

That left Chizzy and Pasha and Brian and Amy in the bottom two and having to face the dance off.

They both reprised their latest dances: Chizzy and Pasha danced the Foxtrot to I’m A Woman from ‘Smokey Joe’s Café’ while Brian and Amy performed the Cha Cha to Shake Your Groove Thing by Peaches and Herb.

Judges Shirley Ballas, Darcey Bussell, Bruno Tonioli and Craig Revel Horwood then had to decide who to save, with new head judge Shirley having the casting vote if required.

Craig saved Chizzy while Bruno, Darcey and head judge Shirley saved Brian.

Elsewhere in tonight’s results show, there was a special music performance from the award-winning Scottish singer and songwriter, Emeli Sande and performance from the Strictly pro dancers.

Meanwhile, it’s been confirmed next Saturday night will see Strictly’s first themed week.

Lights, camera, action! Hollywood glamour comes to the ballroom, as Strictly Come Dancing glides into movie week from 6:35PM on Saturday, October 7 on BBC One.

After saying goodbye to the first couple tonight, the remaining celebrities and their professional dancers are feeling the pressure.

Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman host as the fabulous 14 couples get ready for their close-ups as they perform routines inspired by some of the greatest films of all time (and hope to impress the judges).

After the first two weeks, the leaderboard has been reset and everyone is starting on a blank page as the judges score and public vote once more.

Sadly another couple will have to leave the competition on Sunday night’s Results Show – and no-one wants their Strictly experience to end.
