Paloma Faith says she would return to The Voice UK

Paloma Faith says she would consider returning to The Voice UK next year.

The singer was a coach for the final series on BBC One, sharing the red chairs with Will.i.am, Boy George and Ricky Wilson.

In a new interview, Paloma has said she would “consider” going back for another season.

“I would consider doing it again, but I don’t want that to be my career,” she explained. “It’s not something that I want to outweigh the amount of creative work I do – I do like helping people and I enjoyed it for that.”

Speaking to the Daily Express newspaper, Paloma said of the singing series: “I feel like people sort of need to see The Voice for what it is.

“It’s actually more like a kind of brief training in the industry and it’s up to the individuals to do what they will with it afterwards.

“I think that just being able to sing is not enough.”

Paloma isn’t alone in wanting a return to The Voice UK.

Fellow former judge Ricky admitted previously: “There are many rumours that I’m going back to The Voice.. and I’ve started most of them.”

He remarked he was “furious” at not being invited to join the ITV show, telling Good Morning Britain in 2017: “I love it. I was furious last year when I wasn’t on it.

“It’s fun, it’s TV, I really enjoy it.

“I would love to do something like that again.”

Will.i.am, who has been on The Voice UK every series to date, was joined by Jennifer Hudson, Sir Tom Jones and Gavin Rossdale for the first series on ITV last year.

This year’s series saw Gavin leave, replaced by new coach Olly Murs.

The Voice UK continues Saturday nights on ITV.
