Paddy and Nico win latest Britain’s Got Talent: Champions golden buzzer

Paddy and Nico have become the latest golden buzzer acts on Britain’s Got Talent: The Champions.

The salsa dancers previously won the golden buzzer on Britain’s Got Talent in 2014.

Returning to the stage tonight, 85-year-old Paddy and 45-year-old Nico showcased an energetic routine that had the audience on their feet.

And it won them their second golden buzzer, this time from David Walliams.

He told the pair: “There are very few acts you can watch with a smile on your face and tears in your eyes because this is one of the most joyous, most beautiful, most life affirming acts we’ve ever had on Britain’s Got Talent.”

David added as he hit the golden buzzer: “So let’s not mess about, let’s do this for everybody here!”

With David’s golden buzzer, Paddy and Nico head straight through to the grand final at the end of the series.

In each heat of Britain’s Got Talent: The Champions, two acts will make the final.

Alongside five golden buzzer acts chosen by the judges – Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and David Walliams – as well as hosts Ant and Dec, the arena audience will also vote through one act each week.

The first episode saw Ukrainian sand artist Kseniya Simonova win the Golden Buzzer from Amanda while American daredevil duo Bello and Annaliese Nock won the superfan vote.

Week two saw German dog act Alexa Lauenburger win Ant and Dec’s golden buzzer and dancers MerseyGirls win the audience vote.

Alongside Paddy and Nico, other acts taking part in this week’s third heat were 2016 winning magician Richard Jones, singing brothers Richard and Adam, illusionist Darcy Oake and comedian Jack Carroll.

They were joined by international acts Spain’s Cristina Ramos, DJ Arch Jr from South Africa, dance group The Fire from Holland’s Got Talent and dance group Mayyas from Lebanon.

Britain’s Got Talent: The Champions airs Saturday nights on ITV.
