Olly Murs spoke about being a twin on The Voice UK tonight after a pair of brothers auditioned.
Duo 2ché – made up of 27-year-old twin brothers Darius and Jahz from Manchester – performed Emeli Sandé hit Heaven in the latest episode.
It saw Olly speak about his own twin, saying: “I loved the energy you brought to the show. I’m actually a twin too so it was just nice to see that connection between you guys.”
It’s not the first time Olly has opened up about his family on the singing competition.
Last series of The Voice UK saw Olly comforted by his fellow coaches after getting emotional while speaking about his twin brother, Ben.
When a pair of twin sisters took to the stage, Olly found himself talking about a falling out between himself and his sibling.
“We had a big argument,” Olly began before candidly confessing: “I feel like the next time I’m going to see him is when we lose somebody close in our family, and I don’t want that to be the case.
“I’ve got no idea where he lives.”
“It’s a shame — even more so for my mum,” he continued. “And I do miss having my twin with me.
“We had these two different personalities but we just had this bond.”
He added: “It brings back memories when I see twins. When we were kids we used to sing all the time.”
Olly was comforted with a hug from fellow coach Meghan Trainor while Sir Tom Jones said: “I understand what you’re feeling, but you will do it — you’ll get back together.”
The Voice UK 2021 continues Saturday nights on ITV.
