Noel James’ jokes take the Britain’s Got Talent judges by surprise

Noel James got the Britain’s Got Talent judges chuckling with his comedy this weekend.

As auditions continued, we met 52-year-old exam invigilator and comedian from Wales. Noel performed a stand-up routine.

And just when you think he was going to play a tune on his acoustic guitar, Noel went and entertained in a completely different way instead.

His cheeky gags got the judges and audience alike laughing – and left the stage with four yeses.

The comic got lots of praise from the judges and made it through to the next round.

It’s not a tense wait for Noel to see if he can make the semi-finals at the end of the month.
As always, acts need three or more yeses to make it through to the next round – and potentially on to the live shows.

At the end of the series, just one act will walk away with £250,000 and a spot on the Royal Variety Performance.

Making up the judging panel this year once more are Simon Cowell, David Walliams, Alesha Dixon and Amanda Holden.

Meanwhile, hosts Ant and Dec will be present for the auditions, watching on from the sidelines with a comforting hug whatever the result.

Other acts this weekend included The D-Day Darlings.

The D-Day Darlings are a wartime themed choir of nine girls aged 27-39. The group performs ‘We’ll Meet Again’ by Vera Lynn.

Meanwhile, singer Donchez Dacres made an impact on the Britain’s Got Talent judges this week with his original song Wiggle and Wine.

60-year-old AA man Donchez was born in Nottingham, moved to Jamaica and now lives in Wolverhampton.

Britain’s Got Talent continues Saturday nights on ITV.

Plus, More Talent airs straight after the main show on ITV2.
